Semi-Former Alabama State Highway 100

AL 100 is a route with a confusing status. There haven't been any shields or milemarkers for over 5 years, but the route still shows up on ALDOT's route log and on the 2006 highway map. I'm treating it here as a semi-existing route.
Western Terminus
This view is from also-unsigned AL 15 in the middle of Andalusia. AL 100 begins to the right at the traffic signal. Photo by Adam Froehlig, taken November 25, 2001. |
Eastern Terminus
The eastern terminus at US 84. Though the street sign for US 84 calls it the M.L. King Jr. 'Expressway', this segment of US 84 is actually a 5-lane undivided road with minimal access control. Also, since this photo was taken, the 'eastern terminus' was relocated about 500 feet to the west (left) with a traffic signal added as part of a WalMart development that now exists in the left background of the photo.
