AL 138 is a former route connecting AL 225 to US 31 near Bay Minette in Baldwin County. It appeared in the early 1960s around the same time that AL 225 appeared...AL 138 and AL 225 were not on the 1961 map, but appeared on the 1964 map. This AL 138 was dropped ca. 1986, and is now a Baldwin County route. The AL 138 number was reused in 1996 for a connector between I-85 and US 80 in Shorter.
