Illinois State Highway 137

This page shows northbound photos from along the partially-built/mostly-cancelled Amstutz Expressway (IL 137) in eastern Lake County, IL.  All photos were taken by the webmaster on December 21, 2001.

	Northbound on the southern of the two built segments of the Amstutz Expressway, which carries IL 137.  This image is near the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in North Chicago, with a half-interchange for 24th St just ahead.
	In the middle of North Chicago, in between the two built segments.  This image is a skewed view of a Lake CR A29 shield along 14th St.  Photo by Adam Froehlig, taken December 21, 2001.
	Just north of South Ave in Waukegan, where the northern completed segment begins.
	Northbound at the Grand Ave interchange, which was built as a SPUI but lacks traffic signals.  On top of the retaining wall to the right is the Waukegan Metra station.
	End of the freeway at Greenwood Ave.  This interchange was also intended to be a SPUI, but was only half-completed.
