Missouri Highway Scenes

These photos were taken from various locations around Missouri.  All photos were taken by the webmaster.

Southbound I-29 shield, including the state name.  This was near the Iowa border.  Photo taken in August, 2000.
Northbound guide signage with a rare U.S. Spur route, in this case SPUR US 69 near Bethany, along northbound I-35.
Westbound on I-44 west of Joplin, nearing the eastern end of US 166 and US 400 at Exit 1.
Northbound I-55 shield, including the state name.  This was just north of the Arkansas border.
Southbound I-229 shield, including the state name.  This was just south of the northern terminus at I-29/US 71 north of St. Joseph.  Photo taken in August, 2000.
Southbound I-229 at the left-side Exit 6A in St. Joseph.  Notice how I-229 is elevated and becomes double-decked.  This is due to the proximity of the Missouri River and nearby rail lines.  Photo taken in August, 2000.
Eastbound I-435 shield, including the state name.  This was a little east of I-29.  Photo taken in August, 2000.
Blurry view, but the focus of this photograph was the odd-looking U.S. 36 shield in the "TO US 36" sign in the lower left.  The shield include "U.S." above the digits.  Photo taken in August, 2000.
Looking to the right at the end of the ramp from westbound US 50 to MO 13 near Warrensburg.  Photo taken in August, 2000.
The end of BUSINESS US 50 in Knob Noster.  BUS US 50 is duplexed with MO 23 where it ends here.  Photo taken in August, 2000.
This was the first time I'd experienced a motorcycle pulling a small trailer, and I thought it an odd scene.  This was on northbound US 61 somewhere between Wentzville and Hannibal.
Construction on northbound (now-old-) US 71 near Anderson for what is now completed as US 71 and Future I-49.
Southbound on US 71 at the exit for a number of routes near Carthage.
Eastbound MO 210, somewhere east of MO 291 in Clay County.  Several miles of MO 210 east of MO 291 were built as a 2-lane relocation on a 4-lane right-of-way, as seen here.  Photo taken May 4, 2003.
