I-40 Photos

	Eastbound I-40 crossing the "DeSoto Bridge" across the Mississippi River.  Photo taken in 1999.
	With the Pyramid in the background, these ramps access I-40 from Riverside Dr near downtown Memphis.  A freeway was proposed along Riverside Dr at one point.  Photo taken in 1999.
	At the soon-to-be-reconstructed I-40/I-240 "Midtown Interchange".  Eastbound I-40 was originally planned to continue due east from this interchange, through Overland Park, rather than taking this one-lane ramp as it does today.  The interchange will be reconstructed and improved in the next few years.  Photo taken in 1999.

	A rare I-124 shield, this is southbound at the Chattanooga end of the bridge over the Tennessee River.  The shield has since been removed due to bridge reconstruction.  Photo taken in late November, 1999.
