Wisconsin Highway Scenes

Various photos from non-page-specific highways in Wisconsin.  All photographs were taken by the webmaster.

On northbound I-43 near downtown Milwaukee, with overhead signage for the now-overbuilt interchange at WI 145.  The interchange was originally built in anticipation of what is now WI 145 becoming a freeway (the long-cancelled Park East and Park West freeways).  With the western freeway never built and what little remained of the eastern freeway torn down in the early 2000s, this interchange is now a high-powered interchange to a local street.  Photo taken December 20, 2001

Northbound I-43 at the exit to WI 100 West, in the northern Milwaukee suburb of Bayside.  WI 100 forms a ring road and "beltway" of sorts around Milwaukee.  Photo taken December 20, 2001

A TO EAST I-94 trailblazer, including the state name, along a frontage road in Hudson, WI.

A now-bygone view.  This is looking at the Marquette Interchange (I-43/I-94/I-794) in downtown Milwaukee from northbound I-43/94.  The interchange is in the midst of a multi-year full reconstruction which will drastically change how it looks and operates.  Photo taken December 20, 2001

Northbound split of the US 41 and US 45 freeways outside Milwaukee, with US 41 towards Fond du Lac and the "Fox Cities" and US 45 towards West Bend.  Photo taken December 20, 2001

Further north on US 41, with the advance guide sign for Exit 76 at CTH D, in northwestern Washington County.  Note that CTH D is simply signed "EAST-WEST" instead of having an actual control city.  Photo taken December 20, 2001

Westbound WI 50 in Paddock Lake, where WI 83 joins and WI 75 begins to the right.  Photo taken June 19, 2004.
