North Metro (outside the Beltway)
This page covers I-35E from the eastern I-35E/I-694 interchange in Vadnais Heights to the I-35W/I-35E split in rural Anoka County. Total length of this section is approximately 13.3 miles.
Description
This generally rural portion of I-35E, through northeastern Ramsey County and eastern Anoka County, is the primary gateway for traffic entering the eastern Twin Cities metro from northeastern Minnesota. As with its I-35W counterpart to the west, this segment of I-35E is not only a busy commuter route, but is a heavily used recreational route during summer weekends.
