This was an old idea for a 3-line LRT system that I created back in 2000, prior to construction on the Hiawatha LRT line.  The three lines I proposed that time were an I-35W line from downtown to Burnsville Center, a modified version of the real-life proposed Central LRT line (modified to follow I-94 from the U of M east, and extend east of downtown St. Paul to the 3M Headquarters), and a "Bloomington Strip" line generally along I-494 between Eden Prairie Center and the airport.
