Overview:
The idea behind this refit is one that some have contemplated about since the Bushwacker first debuted. With the propensity of advanced technology that was on the Bushwacker to begin with, many wondered why it did not carry an advanced technology Autocannon as well. While the old AFFS affinity for autocannons and alternative AC ammunition may account for this, the lack of AC/10 ammo on the original Bushwacker casts this theory into doubt.
Regardless of the original theories and plans, Burger's Battlemechs has gone ahead with many refits, replacing the Bushwacker's old AC/10 with the newly developed Rotary AC/5, giving enough tonnage to significantly increase the ammo capacity, as well as add a ton of armor to the arms and legs. The refitted Bushwacker is expected to continue its role as a fire support mech.
