Overview:
This was the first mech to be upgraded with the "Omnimech
Refit Kit" developed by Master Tech McCoy of the Ryuken-Ni. As
the mech was originally of the 3025-standard variety, the Master Tech felt that
upgrading some of the mech's fixed systems should be accomplished as well to
complement the refit kit. As this was his first test, before successfully
completing the refit kit's "torso problem", only the arms were
refitted to accept omnipods, although he did managed to refit the left torso
with a Streak model SRM-6 and CASE for the SRM reloads, and retrofit double heat
sinks into the engine. After the refitting, Master Tech McCoy created
three alternate sets of pods for the Tai-sa's mech, based on parts he had
salvaged during the Clan Invasion, including two with salvaged Clan tech.
