Froggie's Notes:

- The section from US 82 into Eupora was recently upgraded to a 3-lane section, with a center left turn lane.
- From Pontotoc to US 78 near Sherman was at one point considered part of APC Corridor V.  The corridor has since been rerouted further south along MS 6, but the segment of MS 9 remains important (and busy) enough to warrant a High Priority in MDOT's Vision 21.

Froggie Suggests:

- Widen to 4 lanes from Calhoun City to MS 9W north of Bruce.
- Widen to 4 lanes from MS 76/Future MS 6 to US 78.
- Extend MS 9 along MS 370 between MS 30 and MS 4 near Ripley, then decommission MS 370 along its duplex with MS 9.
