Notes:
Originally just a two-lane road, most of it has now been 4-laned. The most
recent widening opened between US 78 and MS 309, including a freeway-style
partial-directional interchange at Germantown Rd (unsigned MS 305).
Construction is underway to extend the 4-lane section east to US 72, as part of
the 1987 Highway Program. Estimated completion in late 2001.
Funding is being located for 4-laning the section between US 61 and MS 301.
What I'd Do:
Study the feasibility of adding interchanges or overpasses/access-roads at MS
301, US 51, and MS 309.
Access management.
