Overview:

The KC-25 Refueling Shuttle is the standard refueling craft in use around the Inner Sphere. Designed primarily around refueling fighters on long-range patrols, the KC-25 has equipment capable of refueling fighters and other small craft, both in space and in atmosphere. As a non-combatant, it carries an absolute minimum of weaponry, however it carries a fair amount of armor, to guard against possible minor collisions. With almost 90 tons of fuel capacity, the KC-25 has the capability of refueling 15-20 fighters on average per load, a significant amount.

Originally launched in Free Worlds Leauge space in the 3030s, the KC-25 is now produced by all 5 Great Houses, in fair quantities. The only design modification has been to add Double Heat Sinks in the early 3050s, which also slightly increased the fuel supply.
