Minnesota Southern Terminus

National Northern Terminus

 3 miles north of US 8's national western terminus is thus blurred photo of US 61's national northern terminus, as seen from northbound I-35.  Interchange reconstruction was underway at the time.  Photo by Adam Froehlig.

Northbound at the recently completed Glen Rd interchange in Newport.  The interchange, built as a SPUI, replaced three former traffic signals and effectively upgraded US 61/10 through Newport into a freeway, tying the previously-isolated Cottage Grove freeway segment into the rest of the metro area freeway system.  Photo by Glenn Olson, taken in June, 2005.
