About This Site
One problem with outstate transportation in Minnesota is the lack of continuity in the major corridors. Outside of the Twin Cities, the only major corridor that is consisitent is US 52 going to Rochester (and even this highway has problems of its own.) Somewhat concurrent with MnDOT's Interregional Corridor (IRC) Study, I came up with a list of major outstate corridors of my own, plus came up with suggested improvements for them. My ideas are listed below.
I have listed the major 4 lane corridors I am suggesting below. Some of my corridors cover more than one highway route. I have split such corridors into their individual routes (such as US 12/MN 7/US 212, etc). If you have any questions or comments about what's on this site, or have any further info on the below routes or routes I should include, please let me know.
